food was the love I needed

My name is Stef Levine, I’m 49, a single mom of two teens, and I have overcome a debilitating chronic illness thanks to changing my diet and lifestyle. After going through a divorce, family death, and the typical stress of our time, I could not move from bed. I had crippling anemia, depression, pain, brain fog, fatigue, and dozens of other symptoms that seemed to come all at once. I was missing out on life and my kids were losing their mom.

I had to change everything about how I ate

Nature Has what we need waiting.

I quickly realized that everything that was healing my body was available at the grocery store in some form. Even the high-quality supplements I bought online that were helping me heal are a pure form of an herb. My diet before was one of processed and convenient foods, so this was new to me. At first, it was like learning a foreign language. I didn’t know how to cook a vegetable properly let alone know how to flavor it. But I had to learn because I knew this was forever.

I found my soul in the process.

Something even bigger happened as I began to feel better and eliminate symptom after symptom. Light began shining through my day that I had not seen before. Gone was the adrenaline-fueled fog of addiction to my food. I no longer want the processed food, what I reach for now instead are foods that will support me. I hear my intuition, my heart speaks and my brain is alert. My soul has returned. My kids got their mom back.

No, it wasn’t easy.

It didn’t happen overnight, cleansing is hard, and I did kick and scream quite a bit. I didn’t want to give up these lifelong foods I loved. But I knew many of those foods weren’t supporting me and I thought, how can I improve this? How can I have food I love AND heal my body? I needed to find a way of sustaining this lifestyle and feel like I wasn’t being deprived.

I’ve found a way and want to show you how too.
